4ta Parte Declaración de Independencia USA - Texto y Lectura

El siguiente texto y lectura en inglés trata sobre la cuarta parte o "Denuncia" de la "Declaración de Independencia de Estados Unidos", que nos cuenta las condiciones justificadas de la revolución de las colonias, en esta parte podemos aprender también nuevas palabras para ampliar nuestro vocabulario en inglés.

Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our British brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which, would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.

Tampoco hemos faltado a la consideración debida hacia nuestros hermanos los habitantes de la Gran Bretaña; les hemos advertido de tiempo en tiempo del atentado cometido por su legislatura en extender una ilegítima jurisdicción sobre las nuestras. Les hemos recordado las circunstancias de nuestra emigración y establecimiento en estos países; hemos apelado a su natural justicia y magnanimidad, conjurándolos por los vínculos de nuestro origen común a renunciar a esas usurpaciones que inevitablemente acabarían por interrumpir nuestra correspondencia y conexiones. También se han mostrado sordos a la voz de la justicia y consanguinidad. Debemos, por tanto, someternos a la necesidad que anuncia nuestra separación, y tratarlos como al resto del género humano: enemigos en la guerra y amigos en la paz.
